Kuma (10)

Made up of five members, Bre Loughlin, (vocals), Dave Dayton, (guitar), Corey Paganucci, (keys and programs), Neal Hallmark, (guitar), and Aaron Nicholes (drums), Kuma's bond was formed in the summer of 2002. They were brought together by a desire to do something different, and drawing on a very diverse collective experience they soon developed the new sound that they were looking for. Bre came from a punk background, singing and playing keyboards in The Stuck-Ups. Dave, a fixture in the Seattle rock scene, had previously shared the stage with bands including The Fastbacks, Alice in Chains, Green Apple Quick Step and Candlebox. Neal played guitar in trip-hop band Emma's Mini and Corey did independent recordings of electronic music. After a very short time together they recorded their first EP Rewind with Jonathan Plum in September 2002, and their second EP That Moment of Silence Before a Disaster at Robert Lang Studios in October 2003. Fast Colliding, Kuma's first full length CD was Recorded with Jonathan Plum in Seattle, and completed in May 2005.
