Russell Young (2)

Keyboard player, trumpet player and studio engineer in Richmond, Virginia. Russell Young grew up in Virginia, where he was a member of the rock band The Monarchs. The group relocated to Austin, Texas, where Young became a member of the backing band for Ronnie Lane and Bobby Keys and joined the New Wave group Private Lives. Young worked as the chief studio engineer and producer at Midget Studios in downtown Austin and while working there, formed the lounge cover group The Recliners in the late 1990s. Young has since moved back to Virginia, where he has formed a Richmond-based version of The Recliners.
