Born 24 de abril de 1957 Sandra Mihanovich is an Argentine singer and actress. Her musical style is broad, coming to interpret rock, pop, ballads and jazz. She stands out for her powerful and fine-tuned voice, as well as for her way of transmitting the feelings expressed in the lyrics of the songs she interprets. Sandra finished high school and began studying music, a passion she had inherited from her family: the Mihanovic. She was also the first woman to perform at the Obras Sanitarias stadium. Those two nights in the rock temple were her consecration. Mihanovic began his recording career with "Pienso en vos" (1977), which included songs in Spanish and English, he had been an interpreter of advertising jingles but success came with "Puerto Pollensa", from his second record (1982) and he finished confirmed with "I am what I am" (1984). "Como la primera vez" (1985), recorded in Brazil, he already found her musically much more mature as an interpreter and a friendship with Celeste Carballo led to the formation of a remembered duo, which paid off: "We are much more than two" (1988) and "Woman against woman" (1990). In 1986 she had participated in the Viña del Mar festival in Chile, where she won the Silver Torch and in the 90s she traveled to Europe where she settled for a while. Upon her return to Argentina, she continued recording some songs that earned her more recognition. The interpreter did radio, television and of course she continued singing. "Sin tu amor" was her fifteenth album and released in 2003 included "Qué va ser de mi", the only song composed by Sandra. The album "Creciendo" was recorded live, during the concerts offered by Sandra Mihanovic at the Opera Theater, in November 2005, with various guests. Two years later she presented "Honrar la vida", a tribute to Eladia Blázquez, a tango singer and composer, who died in 2005. The singer, interpreter and actress is considered one of the most complete Argentine voices. In mid-2012, "Vuelvo a estar con vos" came out, her album No. 18. It has 15 songs by various authors, including herself and her brother Vane de ella. There are also reversals by Juan Luis Guerra, Caetano Veloso, María Elena Walsh and Turf. Sandra was one of "The chosen ones", a show at the Teatro Colón in 2013 in which ten of the best national voices sang: Valeria Lynch, Lucía Galán (Pimpinela), Patrica Sosa, María Graña, Marcela Morelo, Fabiana Cantilo, Julia Zenko, María Martha Serra Lima, Virginia Tola and of course Mihanovich. In 2017 "40 years of music" arrived, a live CD/DVD with songs by various authors and many people working for this celebration of four decades of songs. It was produced by Sandra together with María Sánchez.
