Tarka Cordell was a British musician, writer, record producer, and occasional model, born 1968; died April 28, 2008 in London. Son of Denny Cordell, brother of Milo Cordell. Cordell moved from London to Hollywood at the age of 18, and was signed by United Artists to work as a screenwriter, though none of his scripts ever made it out of development. After a short stint in India, he returned to California and learned to play guitar. He then moved to New York to work on his songwriting with Evan Dando. His next stop was Louisiana where he continued to hone his guitar playing, and ended up producing a couple of records, including the debut album of C.C. Adcock, with whom he later collaborated and co-produced an album for Steve Riley & The Mamou Playboys. Cordell's debut single, titled "Bimbo In The Limo" was released in July 2004. He was found dead at his London apartment, having committed suicide by hanging.
