Gary Nieland

Oregon drummer and label owner of Garland Records (2). After drumming for the touring version of The Champs, Nieland and a bandmate formed The Ultimates (9) in Idaho. They would move to Oregon, release a 45 ([r11622798]) then change names to become Prince Charles and The Crusaders for which Nieland would handle vocals along with drumming. The Crusaders changed names once more becoming Dart (4). Eventually Nieland would leave Dart (while continuing to act as their booking agent) and turned his attentions to a new group, Fatt-Twice-Together, in which he performed with his wife.
