Iwaro, pronounced [ɪ'waro]; is Miguel Valbuena González, European Spanish pronunciation [mi-'ɣ̞el β̞al-'β̞we-na ɣ̞on̪̟-'θa-leθ], born in Vigo (Spain) on May 26, 1990. He is a DJ and record producer of electronic dance music. He has used aliases such as Naitwell, Noharu, Miguel Valbuena, E-Bano or Taikoleben in order to produce different music genres. In 2008 he started his career as a DJ playing in clubs in his region, Galicia. In 2011 he released under his alias Miguel Valbuena, together with his friend Ramon Gz, a Hands Up version of the popular latin song 'Danza Kuduro' by Don Omar and Lucenzo, which got very popular in the Hands Up scene and he started touring. The same year, he released together with Oliveira an official remix of 'Ecuador' by SASH! called "Mirror Mirror", sung by Jean Pearl. In 2012, wanting to clearly differentiate genres, he started the project Iwaro, mainly focusing on what at that time was called "Progressive House". His first release as Iwaro was the track 'Exomoons' with the popular Spanish label Blanco y Negro which was presented in Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) and had a great acceptation in clubs around the world. The same year, he released a remix of Bendik Julsrud for the song 'Burning'. Tiësto, the world renowned Dutch DJ, supported in 2013 in EDC Las Vegas, clubs around the world and in his radio show "Tiësto's Club Life" Iwaro's resample version of his historial hit 'Lethal Industry' . The same year he released a Progressive House remix of SASH! and Sarah Brightman of their track 'The Secret'. Also Iwaro's single 'Neptune'. He also started his music podcast Music Weapon. In the summer of 2014, he released his Melbourne Bounce track '#StandUp!' At the end of 2014, Iwaro released his song 'Sunlight'. He also made a song together with Kajjin, called 'Touch The Clouds'. Some months after, in 2015, Ramon and Miguel, now called Aessi & Iwaro, made a Hardstyle remix, which was widely popular in the Hands Up scene, because of its mixture between Hands Up and Hardstyle. In 2015, Aessi & Iwaro won a contest by Shaun Bate & Sam Walkertone with a Hardstyle remix of their track 'Alive' , which opened up the door to more Hardstyle productions together, such as 'So Let's Go', 'New York' and 'Reunite'. Iwaro also released in that year his vocal version together with Obek of '#StandUp!' which was supported by DJs like Deorro. He released as well, together with Pettro the Deep House track 'Set Free' and with Pettro and Gutti, the track in the same genre called 'Oh Love'. At that time, Iwaro wanted to experiment with more genres and after been working in silence on latin music for a pair of years, Iwaro released as a singer in 2016 a song together with NewMaik, called 'En Línea'. The song was widely known in Spain that summer. In the summer of 2017, Iwaro moved to Ibiza and started playing in different clubs in there. At that time, Iwaro released together with Marsal Ventura an official remix of 'Damn Good" by Nils Van Zandt and performed by the famous Dutch singer Mitch Crown. 2018 was the year of the release of Iwaro's Future Bounce track 'Not 4 Me' .
