Christopher Short is a visual artist, a purveyor of soundscapes, guitarist, composer, sound designer and recording engineer. Short is one half of the tribal ambient duo Ma Ja Le. Christopher uses signal processors, effects pedals and looping delays, to transform the guitar into machine and industrial noises, fantastical beasts, outer space noises reminiscent of 50s sci-fi, and Alien Orchestras playing wonderous melodies. The resulting music is psychedelic and contemplative taking the listener on a sonic journey deep into the farthest reaches of outer and inner space.
