Dragan Balog

Dragan (Ed) Balog was born in Pancevo, Serbia. He has spent most of his life in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where he still resides. Since his teen years, Dragan (Ed) Balog, has been an Author, Musician, Writer, Poet, Lyricist, and producer. During the 90s, as a Bassist and Lyricist, he also wrote, played, and worked with many musical artists in heavier genres. In addition, during that time, he also headed the North American operations of European-based Black Mark Productions, and founded and ran his own record label, Utopian Vision Music. As a published author, his first book, Cathartic Windows came out in 2008 (Epic Press); while 2017 saw the release of his newest book, A Gold Sheaf On A Grey Throne (FriesenPress). His new fiction novel, When Disparate Voices Rise In Unison, was released on May 31, 2022, through Austin MacAuley Publishing out of the UK. He is currently working on his fourth book, tentatively entitled, The Monarch of Dystopia. Many of his other writings have been published in: Canadian, American, UK, and European music magazines during the 1990s, and the early 2000s.
