Founded in 2002 by four young boys from the Marcory and Koumassy districts (Yohou Eric Corneille dit '' Petit Patron '', Zéré Kévin alias '' Vino '', N'Guessan Kouakou Clément called '' Clem'so '' and Kouakou N 'Guessan Dominique alias'' Dodo la joie ''), the group '' the Patrons' 'first perform in birthdays, weddings and baptisms, practicing the Wôyô genre or "Easy atmosphere" based on percussion. The same year, he won the "Zouglou Revelation 2002" prize, the "best zouglou hopeful group" prize, the merit diploma from CID as well as the "BURIDA trophy" (Ivorian copyright office). for his first work of 8 titles, “Nègre Noir”. Produced by George Omeodu, the flagship title, "Triste destin" evokes the galley of young Abidjan and the survival problems of the Ivorian population which affect all generations. Five years later, the group signed a second album of 14 tracks, "White Heart", performed at the prestigious Palais de la Culture in Abidjan and then set off on a European tour. One of the members of the group, Vino, left the group who signed his third work in 2009, "High Level", directed by Antonio Dahouindji. It won them the "best Zouglou artist prize" at the Zouglou Awards. A second member, Dodo soon left the group, which signed a 15-track album in 2016, "The Magic" with two guests, the Danish Jonas Rendbo and the Swedish Marina Ammouri, which will be followed by a tour in Scandinavia. In 2020, the release of the single "Pas ça" recorded by the two remaining members, Eric Patron and Clem’so, earned them a contract with Universal Music Africa.
