O.W.L.

aka Of Wondrous Legends - American psych folk band established in Chicago in 1968 by musician and artist Stephen Titra. The band's demo recordings from 1971 didn't result in a record deal but about 20 test pressings had been made in order to convince record labels. One of those was discovered in a thrift store around 2004 by Dawson Prater and resulted in the reissues on Locust Music. "As a result, Titra revived O.W.L. in 2009, to perform a number of shows in Chicago and elsewhere, as a trio with Al Keeler and Doug Jones" (source: Wikipedia). More recently, the band has been involved on the album [m964359] (released in Chicago in 2015).
