Tim Sessions aka Hedstatic, had from an early age a real love of music. After many years of playing the guitar, bass and drums Tim joined several bands that had a variety of publishing/record deals.
After the bands had run their course he decided to get into music production. To this end he had built up an extensive studio in which to initially record band music.
It was around that time that Tim met Matt Stapley, a DJ who has been involved in the dance music scene for the last 15 years. Together they started writing under the act name "Logica" and released the original mix of "Redshift" in 1999 which appeared on the last Fantazia album "Aural Pleasure", and received a large amount of critical acclaim and support from the best known DJ’s around the world.
At that time Tim’s very good friend and former band member Alex Branson was working for Sony’s dance label, INCredible. Alex went on to work for The Lost Generation where he continued licensing for compilation albums until the company completed the album in 2000. Tim and Alex decided to set up their own label IN Music, with the express desire to release quality Progressive House music.
At this time Tim then started writing solo projects under his new guise "HedStatic", his first track “Scanners” which featured a remix by Hellpass was a pounding progressive stormer that was championed by the likes of Christopher Lawrence, John Digweed, Sasha, Anthony Pappa, Matt Stapley, Dave Seaman and Mike Cosford, and set him on course to for global recognition.
His follow up track, “48k”, which was a two disc release featuring mix’s from Gordon Kaye, Katakana and Matt Stapley, reaffirmed belief in HedStatic’s unique style of tough groove led Progressive House.
Since then Tim has been doing remixes for Grayson Shipley, Nick Hook, Andy Morris and Skylab all being released on the new IN Music spin off label IN promo.
Tim’s new track “Midday Exposure” which will be released later in the year has already received huge support from Hector Romero and Satoshi Tomiie who currently starts the majority of his sets with it.
Other forthcoming projects will be an original chillout/funky album which Tim is writing for release mid next year. The first single, “Coastline”, which is scheduled for the end of the year should prove how versatile a producer Hedstatic is and to show Tim’s commitment to producing music that people want to dance to no matter what genre it is.
