Daveytree

Dave "Daveytree"Archuletta has been producing beats for over 15 years. He plays several instruments, including piano, bass and drums. During the 1990's Dave was a founding member of the Funk Force Collective, and the visionary underground SF band Run the Voodoo Down (one of the first live music acts to incorporate turntablism as a primary musical element, featuring DMC Wold Champion DJ Pash "Mackintosh" Kamber on the wheels of steel). Dave has produced projects for Nidecker Snowboards, LRG clothing, the Mission Burrito Project, as well as releasing solo CDs of instrumental music. In 2009, Dave co-produced the well-received Breez Evahflowin solo CD titled "Breez Deez Treez," released by Domination Recordings. Most recently he created tracks for the experimental Audiowear white vinyl album project "Shattered," where producers and MC's were paired up to make music from samples of porcelain "audiowear" jewelry. In 2011, Dave's productions were performed by violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain and Brand Nubian's Lord Jamar, at BAM's Next Wave Festival in Brooklyn, NY. After living in New York and Berlin, Dave and his wife recently returned to San Francisco where he is executive director at Joe Goode Performance Group. Between the hours of Midnight and 3 am, and in every other spare moment he is continuing to work on new projects. daveytree@gmail.com
