TJ Norris

Raised in New England, TJ Norris is an award-winning artist based in Texas. Norris’ work explores the social complexities and implications of the ever-evolving built environment, expressed through a filter of wabi-sabi or the result of chance (ie. 'the exquisite corpse'). He studied at MA College of Art and the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design. His work has been featured at Tacoma Art Museum, South Bend Museum of Art, Millepiani (Italy), A4 Art Museum (China), Oregon Center on Photographic Art, CoCA Seattle, the Orange Coast College Art Center, and several other institutions. Examples of his work are held in various international private collections: Vanhaerents Art Collection (Belgium), Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Fuller Museum of Art, the Museum de la Cuidad, Harvard University, Nike, and the RACC’s Visual Chronicle Collection. Norris' 1st monograph Shooting Blanks (2008-2013) was published in 2018.
