Ann Marie Burgess is an Australian singer who began singing in small clubs. Turning professional at the age of 17, she appeared regularly at venues. She later was the support act for Kamahl on his New South Wales tour. Later at the age of 18, she was the support act for Lovelace Watkins on his Australia - New Zealand tour around 1979, 1980. For that she received a positive review. Working with arranger Graeme Lyall and producer Graeme Rule, her first released recordings were on an EP released on Finooks Folly, a label which was connected to Robert Finikiotis, Lovelace Watkins's Sydney based accountant and manager. One song "Suvla Bay" was included on the compilation album, "The Giants of Australian Country Vol. 2" {RCA VAL10343) which also featured Johnny Chester, Buddy Williams (2), Patsy Riggir and Eddie Low.
