George Eastman

American entrepreneur (12 July 1854, Waterville, New York — 14 March 1932, Rochester, New York); best known as a founder of Eastman Kodak Co. and Kodak. In 1949, George Eastman Museum was dedicated in his honor in Rochester; it became the world's first museum dedicated exclusively to photography.
