Graham Keely’s (aka The Mook) first introduction to House music was in 1990 when he got a part time job in Dublin’s legendary Abbey Discs, the first record shop to import dance music to Ireland. It was whilst working there that he began doing warm-up sets at Sides Dance Club - the first of it’s kind in Dublin. Graham started playing on Power FM (Irelands longest running dance pirate radio station) and clubs throughout Ireland in the early ‘90s. He became co-owner of Power in ‘97 and in ‘99 they won ‘Best Radio Station’ award at The Smirnoff Dance Music Awards. He started producing under “The Mook” moniker in 2001 and in May 2002 had his debut release on Eukahouse. This release is currently getting airplay from Seb Fontaine, while two more of his tracks have been included on “Eukatech v Eukahouse” a double CD expertly put together by Eukahouse label boss Nils Hess His second release on Bosh also received airplay from BBC DJ's, while a third on Climax Recordings is to be included on the next "Perfecto Presents" series to be mixed by Seb Fontaine. His most recent release on new label Frisson received a 4.5/5 review in DJ mag. Although Graham now devotes most of his time to producing Djing is still his first love.
