Dan Vallor is an experimental/avant garde sound artist, composer and producer active since the early 1980's. He has been releasing music since 2001 under the name Clarinette. He began performing music in the late 1970's with the Bay Area art-punk band The Wild Boys. He subsequently formed the short-lived Every Ten Axes, who appeared on the student projects compilation LP College Of The Recording Arts: Summer Class 1982. He began experimenting with tape loops, various instruments and field recordings later in 1982. Vallor is also an engineer and reissue producer largely know for his work with Game Theory in the 1980's as tour manager, sound engineer and producer. He has recently worked with Omnivore Recordings in producing expanded remasters of Game Theory's complete works. His touring and sound work in the 1980's also saw him working with Robyn Hitchcock & The Egyptians, Tav Falco's Panther Burns, Alex Chilton, Rain Parade and others in a variety of roles from stage technician to sound person. He currently lived in the Edinburgh, Scotland area.
