The International Children's Choir, whose existence was inspired by the song, "Let There Be Peace On Earth", has been delighting audiences around the world with song and dance since 1957. Comprised of children five to seventeen years of age, dressed in authentic costumes representative of their own unique ethnic heritage, The International Children's Choir is a celebration of our similarities and differences. In 1966, the Choir opened the well-known attraction, "It's A Small World", at Disneyland and received a gold record for the recording of the ride's theme song. In 1984 the Choir was part of the opening ceremonies of the XXII Olympic Games in Los Angeles and in 1986 the Choir performed for Pope John Paul at the Los Angeles Coliseum for his American Papal tour.
