American country singer and songwriter. Born June 1st, 1948 in Smithfield, Pennsylvania. Married to producer/keyboardist/songwriter Ron Oates (1975). Besides being a recording artist, she has also been a background and commercial jingle singer. Her songs have been recorded by artists across a wide musical spectrum from country music legend Eddy Arnold to Jazz and R&B artist Randy Crawford. She charted 5 times as a solo artist on the U.S. country charts from 1969 to 1976, with "My Guy" (the Smokey Robison-written song) being the highest--topping out at #46. She also charted with two duets with Jimmie Peters--"I Hate the Way Our Love Is", #78; and "First Class Fool", #98, both in 1979. TV appearances include: Hee Haw, That Nashville Music, The Ralph Emery Show, The Bill Anderson Show, Del Reeves Country Carnival, The Billy Walker Show, and the Wilburn Brothers show. Commercials & jingles include: Coca Cola, R.C. Cola, Budweiser Beer, Chevrolet, Marriott Hotels, Sterling Beer, Stuckeys, Burger Chef, Iron City Beer.
