From Detroit, MI, formed in 1960. Club band that later became Rare Earth. Formed by high school friends, they were originally called the Glo-Worms, but Gil Bridges protested this name, deciding to change it to the Sunliners instead, as the car he drove at the time was a Ford Sunliner.
