David Vanderkooi

Classical and session cellist from Nashville, where he came in 1967 as a founding member of the Blair String Quartet. He taught cello and chamber music at the Blair School of Music for 23 years. He was principal cellist of the Oklahoma City Symphony. He retired in 1992 from his career as a cellist to play the bass viola da gamba in the Nashville Early Music Ensemble.
