Walter Settles

Born: ? (1927-1928) Died: April 29, 1999 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, USA from diabetes and from complications related to a stroke. Began his career as a soloist. Sang with the Golden Harp Jubilee Singers, The Spiritual All-Stars, and the Olive Branch Singers before joining The [a255771] in the early 1990's. Retired from The [a255771] in 1995 after suffering a stroke after a performance in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Although at this point he was unable to sing, The [a255771] continued to regard him as a member. Later rejoined The [a255771] for the song “These Bones,” from the 1997 Grammy-winning release, "I Couldn’t Hear Nobody Pray".
