Soviet Love

Spanish indie rock group from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands) active from July of 1994 to 2000. Domingo Aleman (guitar, sax, vocals) + Yuli (bass, vocals) + Manuel "Manolo" Estévez (drums, backing vocals) + Amanda López (guitar, vocals) + Burbu (trumpet) + Guzmán (trombone) + Paul (harmonic, backing vocals). Soviet Love was one of the most known bands during the 90's in the alternative music scene in the Canary Islands. Finalist of "Villa Bilbao" music contest in 1995 they recorded a demo in 8 tracks tape machine. Self release their first two albums and two EPs in their own label Ruin Records (2) in 1995-96. Winners of Ruta 66 magazine contest in 1996 signed to Subterfuge Records for the next two albums. Some of the members of the band can now be found leading some electronic and more experimental projects (Ruin Man, Sunday German Flowers, Krater..)
