Grecia Domenech

Grecia Domech Betancourt. Birth October 25, 1921 Havana, Cuba. Death January 18, 1955 Havana, Cuba. Composer Considered by the Cuban composer Marta Valdés as one of the most authentic cultivators of the filin style of the Cuban canción. She was a performer of the tres, the guitar, the piano and some Cuban percussion instruments. As a composer she dabbled in dance music but mainly in canción and bolero. The Venezuelan musician Oscar D’León has in his repertoire one of his creations, Mi Negro Está Cansao, and the Cuban singers Fernando Álvarez and Oscar Quintana performed some of his songs and boleros as No Serás De Mí and Dónde Está Mi Corazón.
