Göte Carlid

Swedish composer, librarian and historian of learning, born December 26, 1920 in Sandviken, died June 30, 1953 in Sundbyberg. Carlid grew up in Visby and Örebro, studied at Uppsala University and became a student. lic. 1950. He was a city librarian in Enköping 1946–1948 and in Sollentuna 1948–1950. After that he devoted himself entirely to composing. As a musician, Carlid was self-taught. Carlid was a member of the Monday Group in the 1940s.
