Rasputin & The Mad Monks originated in Lawrence, MA, in 1967, and was managed by Ron Messina. Their shows included long robes worn by the band and the lead singer being brought on stage in a real casket. The group recorded 4 songs at Eastern Sound Studios with Pat Costa. This was at the studio’s first location, the basement of Pat's parent’s house on Taylor Street in Methuen. Their most memorable song was a psychedelic version of The Electric Prunes' ”I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night)”. Members included: Sal Alaimo, Roland "Rolly" Boisjoly, Ralphie Boragine, Roy Nelson, Bob Raymond, and Bob Sloane
