Terje Fjærn

Norwegian trumpet player and band leader from Oslo, born 1942, died 2016. Played in the Kjell Karlsen Orchestra before founding his own band in 1969. His ensemble accompanied many artists on stage and in the recording studio. Fjærn was the musical director of many musical theatre performances. Took part in the Eurovision Song Contest as conductor for Norway on two occasions, leading the orchestra for the country's first winning entry 'La det swinge' by Bobbysocks (1985).
