Marion Hofmann

Harfe: Marion Hofmann (August 26, 1941 - August 2, 2020) During my vacation in Latvia, I received the sad news that Marion Hofmann, a member of our collegium instrumen, had died. "Marion lost the fight and fell asleep peacefully on Sunday evening," wrote Bettina Unterumsberger, Marion's daughter. Although we had known about her incurable disease for three years, her death came unexpectedly. What a loss as a person and as a musician! This year we weren't able to rehearse at all due to the corona. We only started again in June. Some did not come because of the risk of infection, but Marion did. Music filled her being there. I was able to play three more church services with Marion: on July 5th with the collegium instru-mental music by Albinoni, on July 12th a trio with Ursula Kelch, recorder, and Reimar Biehler, cello, and on July 19th we have the Duo makes music, violin and piano, parts from their favorite sonatas by GF Handel.
