American folk and pop singer and songwriter. Born July 5, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee. Raised in Little Rock, Arkansas before her family relocated to the San Fernando Valley. She was chosen Miss San Fernando of 1961. She next attended San Fernando Valley State. Alto, mezzo-soprano, soprano singer for The Womenfolk. Before The Womenfolk she had recorded for Indigo Records as Babs Cooper. In 2014 Barbara re-mastered & digitize some of the songs she wrote with Frank Cantana — "What’s One More Tear", "The Playground", "Madeline’s World", & "Sunday Morning" — and uploaded them on the Apple iTunes.com & Amazon MP3.com & other popular online digital stores. She wrote some of The Womenfolk songs they recorded, including “Davey's Come Home”, “Little Rag Doll” and “Quittin' Time”. She has lived in New York City since 1965 when The Womenfolk came east to pursue "The Bitter End", a folk club in Greenwich Village, and to perform on the Ed Sullivan Show. When The Womenfolk disbanded in late 1966-67, Barbara continued to write songs with Frank Catana for Al Gallico Music, recording some of them as a solo performer for Danny Davis (4) at RCA: "The Playground", "What’s One More Tear", "Madeline’s World", & "Sunday Morning". She also sang and wrote jingles for commercials though Herman Edel Music.
