After his education at the Twents Conservatory, Freddy Golden (real name Fred Gaasbeek) starts as a pianist-entertainer. He later forms a successful duo with his wife Helen that also performs in Germany. He writes songs for Gert and Hermien Timmermans and from 1967 he has his own orchestra with which he accompanies various shows on radio and TV for years.
