Martin Pals was born in Leeuwarden, Holland. Already in his youth he loved old music and especially the lute. However he started playing in a hardcore punkband called M.O.G. After he lost interrest in rockmusic he took lessons from lute player Lex van Sante and started composing and performing. Martin plays a lute built by Jiri Cepelak.
