Louie Stowell, born in London in 1978, was an advertising copywriter, PR agent, cartoonist and non-fiction author before devoting herself entirely to fiction. She loves comics, science fiction, fantasy and anything funny. She also has a soft spot for forests, urban foxes and mythology. She lives in London with her wife and dog Buffy and a creepy puppet that is probably cursed. Louie Stowell started her career writing carefully-researched books about space, ancient Egypt, politics and science but eventually lapsed into just making stuff up. She likes writing about dragons, wizards, vampires, fairies, monsters and parallel worlds.
