In 1996, Team Demolition's Jady Experience was attending college at Old Dominion University when he met a fellow student and mc from Brooklyn, NY named Trickstar. After rocking on the campus radio station together for a couple of weeks, Jady came home to Northern Virginia with tapes of their radio escapades proclaiming to the rest of the Demolition that Trickstar needed to be put down with the Team.. "Jady played me the tape of Trickstar and after about 8 bars I wanted to work with him," says Zechariah Wise, label President and Team Demolition producer. "Since then, no one has made a first impression on me like the way he did." Shortly there after, Trickstar began making frequent trips to Depth Charge Studios along with his crew Caught Up in Speech, who together compiled a large bank of material and began to fully develop and perfect their song writing and performance skills. In 1999, Trickstar was featured on Team Demolition's, "Feedback," which scorched through the underground and college radio. The following year, Trickstar moved to Northern Virginia and began to work on his solo project. Trickstar's first single from his upcoming LP showcases the clever flows and rhyme concepts that will set him apart from the typical hardcore mc. On the A-Side, "What is Life?", he boldly challenges the notion that today's urban youth can't succeed because of their circumstances: "Many of us come from a place that's so abusive, that it translates to more court dates, or lame excuses. If you're aware, of who you are and where you came from, It could be considered your fault, or motivation" The flipside, "The Connection," was originally a track done exclusively for a mix CD by Trilogy Records' Double J and Team Demolition's DJ Dialtone, but it garnished such a response from DJs that the decision was made to put it on the B-Side. The track features Trickstar and Team Demolition spitting consecutive verses book ended by Dialtone's fierce cuts. The single will also include a third track entitled, "Men from the Boys," that is sure to get heads nodding. Trickstar's album, "The In MC: Traveling Music," was released in October 2003. With production from Team Demolition's circle of beat creators and original concepts and mind blowing lyrics from Trickstar, the debut is certain to get instant attention.
