The instrumental Ensemble "Ile-De-France" was created in 1961 by some choir singers from the Chorale À Cœur Joie who were also playing instruments like guitar, recorder or lute. Other amateur musicians joined, adding more baroque instruments to the line-up. The group have played hundreds of concerts, either alone or accompanied by choirs from the movement "A Cœur Joie". They have also recorded several albums, some with the Chorale Franco-Allemande De Paris. The repertoire of this amateur ensemble is made up of music from the end of the Middle Ages to the 18th century, and of comtemporary music played with ancient instruments.
