Charles Hughes (9)

Charles Hughes teaches at Rhodes College in Memphis. He is the author of two books, "Country Soul: Making Music and Making Race in the American South" and "Why Bushwick Bill Matters," as well as many articles. He’s co-editor of the American Music Series at University of Texas Press, writer of the Substack newsletter "No Fences," a regular contributor to the Teaching Hard History podcast, and a voting member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
