Сергей Бирюков

Sergei Biryukov (born 1950) is a Russian music critic and musicologist. He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory and its graduate school as a musicologist-theorist. Ph.D. in History of Arts. Since 1988 - music columnist for central newspapers, since 1991 - at "Труд" (since 2011 - editor of the culture department). Author of the books “Nikolai Petrov. Creative portrait”, “Denis Matsuev – life on crescendo” and others.
