Daniel Benoît

Coming from a family of musicians (his mother was in the group "Les Frangipanes"), but self-taught, Daniel Benoît was also a pianist in his spare time. A jazz virtuoso, he played with the greatest in French Polynesia, notably Michel Poroi. In the 70s, he played with rare speed. Often since the 1980s, Daniel Benoît and Michel Poroi have performed in the bars of Tahiti. They also open for the American jazz-rock group " Pumps" . Michel Poroi and Daniel Benoît release a cassette together "Tahitian Guitare". Daniel Benoît will also participate in the album "Emerald" in 1976, then "Evolution" with Patrick Roche in 1998.
