Orkest Arie Ribbens

From 1972 to 1981, Arie Ribbens was living in Drachten and played with jazz musicians from Groningen, employing more of a big band sound. Other members were Lex Jasper and Edwin Corzilius. Lex left in 1976 and Edwin in 1978, a year prior to making their only LP. After Arie left in 1981, the band changed its name in The Northstar Showband.
