Georg Niehusmann

German sound engineer, Jazz musician (Tenor and Bariton saxophone), Bigband-Leader and producer. Born 10. June 1963 in Essen. Studied church music at the Folkwang University in Essen and audio engineering at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Dusseldorf. Brother of Volker Niehusmann. Leader of the FH BigBand Düsseldorf (big band of the Dusseldorf Poly) and founding member of the Kokopelli Saxophone Quartet. Also works since over 25 years as sound engineer at the WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) in the areas Jazz, world music, chamber music und for recordings of radio orchestras.
