Swedish composer and songwriter, born February 19, 1925 in Tokyo, died December 7, 1999 in Saltsjöbaden. By profession, Bobbie Ericson was information manager at the Svea Group. As a composer, he is perhaps best known for "Utskärgård", a piano piece associated with Swedish summer and often performed in arrangements for orchestra. During the 1960s he wrote several hits for the Melodifestivalen: "April, April", "Vårvinter", "Stockholm" (1961), "Lolo Lolita" (1962), "En gång i Stockholm", "Hongkong sång" (1963 ) and "Kommer vår" (1965). Altogether there were two victories: in 1961 with "April April", text Yngve Orrmell (under the pseudonym Bo Eneby), and in 1963 with "En gång i Stockholm", text Beppe Wolgers (under the pseudonym Bertil John).
