Eduardo Vigil Robles

Mexican composer and conductor (b. February 10, 1875 Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico - d. December 15, 1945 Mexico City) Between 1924 and 1929, Vigil y Robles served as Music Director in charge of RCA Victor's Latin-American recordings, conducting Victor's house orchestra when it recorded zarzuleas and Spanish operettas, but also Spanish-language versions of German and Austrian operettas, such as Franz Léhar's "Count of Luxembourg". His best-known songs are "La Norteña" and "Chula La Mañana".
