American jazz musician (trumpet player and singer), born January 7, 1954 in Yonkers, New York, died November 28, 2011 in Beaufort, North Carolina. During the 1970s, Franckevich played with Lionel Hampton and Blood, Sweat & Tears and was a member of the Mahavishnu Orchestra for a time. He lived in Sweden for a period; he performed as trumpeter on the jazz band Soffgruppen's album Greatest Sits (1975), the group Sundance's self-titled album (1976), on Family Four (2)'s album Versatility (1976), on Monica Törnells album Bush Lady (also producer, 1977) and on Lennart Åberg's album Partial Solar Eclipse (1978). He later worked in Spain, among other places, where he appeared on Miguel Angel Chastang Quintet's album Viriato Blue (1983).
