Tamara
Настоящее имя: Tamara
Об исполнителе:
Spanish electro-pop female singer born December 11, 1966 in Barakaldo, Basque Country. She started appearing on Spanish gossip TV programs in 2000 and was treated as a joke due to her limited vocal skills. However, singer Alaska (6) praised her and her debut single, released in late 2000, was produced by her frequent collaborator Spunky. That single, "A Por Ti", was a #1 hit in Spain and earned a Gold certification. Her debut album, "Superestar" was released the following year but it had limited success. Due to her being usually confused with same-named singer Tamara (7), she briefly changed her stage name to Ámbar in 2004, but was banned from using it due to it being a registered trademark. She then changed her stage name to Yurena and released her comeback single "Vuelvo" in 2005. She then retired from the music scene for several years. Her comeback to music came in 2012 with a revamped image and has since released a string of electro-pop singles all sung in the English language, with four of them hitting the Spanish top 40.
