Stephan Braun

Stephan Braun is a classical trained piano and cello player. He has studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater, Hamburg. He changed to jazz and closed his studies in 2006 in Berlin. Since then he has won a few competitions and is working with many well named artist mainly in the field of jazz but also for theaters and other projects. He also founded and leads the groups "deep strings" and "Stephan Braun Trio". Among others, Stephan Braun toured with Melody Gardot, the Kristjan Randalu Quartet, Klezmer clarinetist Giora Feidman and is currently on tour as a guest with the two trumpeters Till Brönner and Sergei Nakariakov. He teaches at the University of Music, Theater and Media in Hannover. Since 2012 lecturer at the Cello Akademie Rutesheim.
