Φρανκ Βακούλας

Frank Vacula was born in Caracas, Venezuela, while his parents were from from Crete, Greece and the Czech Republic. From his teenage years he has participated as lead singer in bands. In the early 80’s he recorded the single “Voices” with his band “Headleaders” with the independent and innovative at the time record company Creep Records in Greece, who established the Greek Post Punk music. Towards the end of the 80’s he participated as lead singer as well as song writer in the electropop band “Noire” in New York, USA, where he lived for a few years. In New York he also took music theory lessons and voice lessons with the musician Stuart Diamond. (http://www.stuartdiamond.com). In the 90’s he was part of rock and funk-rock bands. He worked as a DJ for 4-5 years and was highly recommended by the popular magazine of Athens, the Athinorama. He also worked as a radio producer for the Greek national radio station ERT. His radio shows were called “Electric Zone” and “Light in the Dark”. In the following years Frank travelled to many parts of India, studying the Indian culture and some of the traditional music of the country. From the mid 90’s until today he has participated in music presentations as a singer in tributes to great composers from all over the world and has sung a large variety of world music. He has also written music for small orchestras as well as songs. Frank has also done voice overs for theatrical presentations and narrations mostly for biographical documentaries. From 2010 until 2015 he had voice coaching lessons from Michael Romanof and at the same time studied and researched natural health, nutritional diet and alternative natural therapies and fitness. In 2018 he attended music technology seminars instructed by musician and producer Vangelis Spanakakis, and also started recording his unpublished music in his studio. In the summer of 2018 Frank recorded his song “Will You Take Me” and one year later “Live in Love”. In the summer of 2019 both songs were released as a Digital EP entitled “Live in Love” with InSideOut Music Web Promotion. For the past few years Frank Vacula is working as a musician, songwriter, music teacher and keeps recording and releasing new music.
