American Producer, Pedal Steel Guitarist, Saxophonist, Flautist, Dobro player, Clarinet, Bass Guitar, Oboe, Banjo-Guitar, English Horn,based in Nashville, TN. Currently performing with Ronnie Milsap. While living in Lexington, Kentucky John's first band was the Buffalo Bombers and his 2nd Band was Second Hand Rose. In 1979 John moved to Brussels, Belgium and worked with many groups including John Lawers. In 1980 John moved to Ludwigshaven bei Mannheim and worked with a German group called Unser Gnaden. In 1981 John moved to Berlin, Germany and worked for Gunther Gabriel, in 1982 John worked with a group called Western Union and the group had a #1 Hit titled "Ich Mocht So Gern Mal Nach Nashville"! Many other top hits followed. In 1985 John moved back to the US and landed in Nashville, TN. John performed live with TG Sheppard, Barry Gibb of the Bee Gee's and Kelly Lang in Hollywood Florida. Played Sax on Jimmy C. Newman's CD project. Horn section Leader and Tenor Sax for Percy Sledge 2009. Session Leader and Co-producer for Adam Fisher produced by Stella Parton and signed by Lofton Creek Records. Performed at NAMM Nashville 2009 showcasing Morrell Lap Steels. Played Soprano Sax on Nokie Edwards CD project "The Golden Fingers Of Nokie Edwards." (Nokie played Lead guitar with the Ventures). John played sax on DJ Fontana's new project, (DJ played drums for Elvis). Played at the Nashville 2007 CRS show with Kevin Sharp playing steel guitar. Played Sax on a project that featured a couple of solos by Steve Lukather, the guitarist with the group "TOTO." Worked on Steel guitar, Dobro, Sax and Flute on a 3 CD project for Tommy Overstreet entitled "Country Gospel Favorites." project was nominated for a Grammy. The best sessions John played Sax on was a session for Jack Clement that featured Louis Armstrong as the singer. He worked with Tyler Dean, Ronnie McDowel's son, on his project for CURB Records playing Steel Guitar. Played on TG Shepard's CD project entitled "Timeless" which featured myself & Wayne Jackson of the "Memphis Horns." Played steel on projects that featured such artists as Merle Haggard, Glen Campbell and Crystal Gayle. In 1991 played for Hank Williams, Jr., on the "Lone Wolf Tour" (and lived!). John Played Sax and Steel Guitar with a 23 piece big band called "Radio Daze" John also does quite a bit of video and TV work in and around Nashville & Atlanta. John had a song placed in a movie called "Encounters Of The 4th Kind." John currently performs with Ronnie Milsap.
