Mircea Mihalache

* October 17, 1942, Bucharest † December 20, 2013 Romanian operatic alsto and countertenor established in Vienna, Austria, since 1979. In Bucharest, he studied piano, conducting, ballet and singing, the latter with Magda Ianculescu. He sang at numerous theaters in Europa and under famous counductors like Zubin Mehta, Claudio Abbado, René Clemencic and others. Several works were written especially for him.
