Robert D. Thomas

American graphic designer, painter, bagpipes player, builder and restorer (Hollywood, California, 21 July 1938 – 16 December 1993). Best known for co-creating the "Skull and Lightning" logo with Owsley Stanley for The Grateful Dead. Leader of folk groups “The Golden Toad Band”, the “Raggle Taggle Gypsies”, the “Newcastle Pipe+Bowl Morris” band and “Le Camembert”. Co-founder of the Institute for Traditional Studies.
