Led by singers Alfonso Cordoba (El Brujo) and Napoleon Cossio Mayo, (both born in Quibdó, Colombia), Los Brujos del Son is a little known salsa band that only made one album. Their eponymous album, "Los Brujo Del Son," is often mistakenly thought to be called "Salsa," when in fact the word "SALSA" on the cover is there to clarify that it is not an album of "son" music, one of the influential root genres in salsa. The simplest evidence for this is that on the physical label where Fuentes always puts the title of the record, "Salsa" does not appear.
