Segakoor "Vanemuine"

Mixed choir Vanemuine history dates back to June 24, 1865, when singing society Wanemuine was founded in Tartu. The society organized the first (1869) and the second (1879) Estonian song festivals in Tartu, starting a long national tradition. During Soviet state control (40-80s) the choir would often appear under RAT (State Academic Theatre) or RT (State Theatre) "Vanemuine" koor.
